HOMEBOY SANDMAN - Not Really
We love some Homeboy Sandman around here. We loved him when he was doing mix tapes and hangin with 2 Hungry Bros. We loved his first album, The Good Sun. But when he signed with Stones Throw a couple of years ago, they slowed down his rhymes with their typical mellow beats and it adversely effected the sound. At least that was the general consensus about his first two EPs with the new record label. First of a Living Breed is their first full album and they've got the formula down now. Love this track. Love this video. Same basic Sandy from around the way. Two thumbs up!!
FLYING LOTUS - Putty Boy Strut
Video from the new album Until The Quiet Comes on Warp Records. Flying Lotus doesn't disappoint in the least. Always comes with the most innovative visuals to go with his other-worldly sounds. Featuring Erykah Badu, Laura Darlington, Niki Randa, Thundercat, and Thom Yorke, this album promises to be a winner.

JJ DOOM - Guv'nor
MF DOOM and Jneiro Jarel have teamed up to produce a new album called Keys To The Kuffs. The super duo named JJ DOOM is a match made in hip hop heaven. Jneiros' beats compliment the unique off beat rhyming scheme of DOOM. Check out the innovative split screen and mirror techniques utilized by director Ninian Doff. Then go and check out the entire album, which is sure to keep you coming back for more.

LUPE FIASCO - Bitch Bad
Video from the new Lupe Fiasco album, Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album. The title is a mouthful, but i'm overjoyed that Lupe's found his way back to his roots. Classic story telling rhymes over dope beats. His last album, which I won't even bother naming, really lost me and everything about this new journey tells me that he's found his way back home. Not only does this song bring up major issues with our sexist society, but also touches on racial borders, through use of blackface. Powerfully charged and impossible to turn away from, this is Bitch Bad.
MAJOR LAZER ft. FLUX PAVILION - Jah No Partial
Major Lazer is back to his old ways with this latest single from the upcoming album, Free The Universe. Diplo and the crew over at Mad Decent Records know how to put together a filthy, dirty beat that gets the body moving. Already drooling with anticipation of the new album.
